Who are we? We are the mavericks team of FRCRCE( bandra west). We are a technical team that works on the development of drones and other aerial vechiles. The team focuses on creating UAV's that are better, cost effective and efficient than the other UAV's available in the market. We take part in different national and international competitions as a way to test our abilities. Our motto is very simple 'To do the best we can do.' With each competition that we take part in, we try to bring in something new to the world of aerial flight systems. The major advantage that the team has is that we are very hardworking. There is genuine understanding as well as cooperation within the team and at the same time a sense of responsibility.

When it comes to work one must learn to separate the emotional from the logical and give their best of outputs.
I love everything that has logic to it, especially maths I believe that once you love something you can never get tired of doing it.
When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.
Engineering is not creating fantasy but building dreams.
Excuses are made only by those who aren't entirely committed to your work.
When one takes some work onto themself they must make sure its done to the very best of their capabilities.
I am a person who believes that your work is a reflection of how you are as a person.

Team Mavericks looks forward to participating in the Medical Express challenge 2018. We will attempt to retrieve a blood sample from the remote, stranded person and return it to base where medical staff will be waiting to analyse it.This will be brought about by the development of systems that can carry out the mission in a fully autonomous manner using Type 2 Autonomy. The aircraft will have continuous communication with the UAV controller on the ground via multiple radio links on separate frequencies which will be to the onboard computer. The links will be sufficient for monitoring of aircraft and completion of the mission. The mission will be conducted at an altitude of approximately 400 feet, except for takeoff and landing. In case of failure of on board electronic engines, the system will result in the deployment of parachutes for a gradual descent. .

The team strives to demonstrate the utility of Unmanned Airborne Vehicles (UAVs) for civilian applications, particularly in those applications that will save the lives of people in the future in a quick and cost efficient manner , delivering medical supplies, and returning medical samples, to and from critically ill patients.

1. DELIVERABLE 1 :- The team is working on the UAV challenge 2018 by Medical Express. The problem statement requires to build an Autonomous Vertical Takeoff and Landing Aerial Vehicle system that can travel over a distance of 23 kms, collect a blood sample and retrieve it back to the launching site. This challenge consists of three deliverables out of which Team Mavericks UAS cleared the first deliverable becoming one of the 55 international teams to do so.
Don't forget to check out our D1- here
2. OPERATION RAHAT :- The team participated and completed the obstacle course of OP-RAHAT 2017 at IIT Bombay in 73 seconds.
3. FIRST AUTONOMOUS FLIGHT :- Currently we have a Hexacopter that has the capability to autonomously land, takeoff, return to the launching site and travel through waypoints. As of February 15th 2018 we have successfully completed our first autonomous mission.
